The Lake District has always held a special place in my heart. Beyond my professional interest in its unique topography, I have spent years holidaying among the lakes and fells and visiting on business, witnessing firsthand how the landscape evolves through the seasons.

I also have strong family ties to the region. My relatives ran a successful interior design business in Bowness-on-Windermere for many years, and I carry their legacy of creative excellence and bespoke service into every garden I design—from contemporary terraces in Ambleside to traditional family plots in Kendal.

Based in East Yorkshire, I offer a streamlined design service that combines an initial on-site consultation with the efficiency of modern remote collaboration. This approach allows me to offer professional design to anyone looking to invest in a thoughtful, functional outdoor space.

The Design Process:

- Initial Site Visit: I will travel to your property for an in-depth site consultation for a set fee. This allows us to meet in person, assess site levels and light, and discuss your vision.

- Remote Design & Liaison: Following our meeting, the design work takes place at my studio. We will stay in close contact via the internet, where I use 3D CAD planning to provide clear, accurate visuals so you can see exactly how the space will function.

- Local Installation Partners: While I do not provide ongoing on-site project management, I have a network of trusted local suppliers and contractors across Cumbria. Once the design is finalized, I can introduce you to the right professionals to build it to the highest standard.

With 30 years of experience and an HND in horticulture, I provide a hands-on design philosophy backed by deep plant knowledge. My goal is to provide a high-end design experience that remains accessible and grounded in practical reality.
